Love that Trabant trying to park on the bike rack! Understandable mistake I guess...

Nice scenes from a great, cosmopolitan, free-thinking city.

Re: Berlin 2019

A fine collection. I haven't been back since a trip just after the wall came down when all that was left was an open grassland.

Re: Berlin 2019

Some good ones there, particularly like the Ampelmännchen deck chairs.
Jaywalking still very much frowned upon especially from the older East Berlin residents

Looks like the BMW was doing the same, there wasn't much room in front of them to pass. Slightly odd. I saw one other Trabant which was in motion but too far off to snap. I truly terrible bit of work that car, but I understand that even a dreadful car is better than no car - I owned a Mini Metro

There's still a visible difference between the West and East. The whole city is under construction, big public works and lots and lots of redevelopment. There are fancy blocks going up around the old soviet era estates and judging by the graffiti there is some resistance to the gentrification. Interesting times.

Ampelmännchen are a quite a big deal - there were at least 3 themed shops selling merchandise. I quite liked the design, I'm not sure how many tourists can take deckchairs home though

Thanks for the comments and likes
