It's a tricky one. The colouring looks more like a Sand Martin than a House Martin (the House Martins that I was watching yesterday appeared very black and white] but, on the other hand, Sand Martins usually have a dark band across the chest and I can see no evidence of that. It could be juvenile but it is rather early for that. A top view would have decided it conclusively if it showed a white rump. I am not sure which it is.

You are right Ron, the band is missing and that band is clearly visible even on juveniles so we can rule out Sand martin which leaves House martin. (When assessing I was a bit too fast, looked at the color of the wings which appears too brown for a House martin however light through feathers can be tricky. )
