A 36 Hour Dash to Brisbane (UPDATE)

I've just returned from Brisbane to visit Sandra who last week was suddenly struck down with an intracranial aneurysm.
She remains in a serious condition in the RBWH ICU unit. Her daughter and sister are there continuing to support her.
Unfortunately I was in no mood to visit "Brissy's" sights and attractions but did shoot some on the long drive home.

The motel was conveniently close the hospital, just 15 minutes walk away.
1.
Opposite the RBWH is a fast food place where hunger forced me into an "Aussie Burger". The soy product bun was inedible and I think the meat was made from a cork beer mat.
2.

3.

Determined to add at least one more image to give you a sense of "Brissy", I shot this as I left the city for home via the M7 to Toowoomba and Newell Highway beyond.
4.

Hi there Mark!

My thoughts are with you and Sandra at this time - I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery. Thanks for the snapshot of Brisbane, I'm sorry that it wasn't taken in better circumstances.

Cheers,

Ralph.

Best wishes to you Mark. I hope Sandra's recovery is quick.

Number two could be any BP station in England too, nice and familiar - without the blue sky and sun kiss that is
