How many of you are from Wales?

It seems to me that as I spend a pleasant evening trawling through past threads and posts I keep noticing Welsh references...

I'm in Caerphilly. 43 yr old bloke, married, love photography (much to my wife's displeasure at times). Started 5 years ago with an E510 and now marvelling at the results from my week old (at the time of posting) E5. Stunning results.

My website (desperately in need of updating) - www.vale-images.co.uk

So - back to my original question - how many Welsh men and women out there...?

Re: How many of you are from Wales?

Hi, Im fully born and breed in Wales, I live in a small town called Nantyglo (Near Ebbw Vale) and work in Cardiff.

I have similar kit to you, an E-5 and EPL-1. I use my E-5 (e-30 before that) for professional work and the EPL-1 - I use for family, personal and fun photos (ok I use the e-5 personally too )

Well, 30 years means you're on the verge of being accepted as being Welsh
I know that 'cinders' is also from the land of song, rugby and Olympus Masters/Mistresses

So that makes 4...any more?

Well I am sure that John the Musicman and Shenstone will be along sometime! And probably others too!

Hi again, I'm not actually Welsh either - but after 30 years, I too, feel as if I belong!

I work in Cardiff, and live just outside. Nice to 'meet' you CallaWolf - we should all have a meet up soon where soon!

One thing I've never considered is turning Pro...I've photographed one wedding (using the E3) and the experience was stressful to say the least, though the couple loved their album.

Cinders - yes, a Welsh moot would be fun. Sometime in the summer maybe? Are we all from the South East tho...?

I would say that so far, the answer is yes!

Re: How many of you are from Wales?

I lurk in wales too.. for the last 29 years or so

My residencey claim comes from my website
Quote:
I married a wonderful Welsh girl. (It's the tradition around here you understand)
She's from Caerphilly too.. Born in the Miners and brought up in Llanbradach and Castle Park

I'm up for a meet too, but need a bit more discussion on possible dates and a bit more notice than last time (sorry Steve, but I had to go get the Land Rover that was more important than seeing you again )

Regards
Andy

Re: How many of you are from Wales?

I suspect that I don't count even with a thoroughly Welsh name
I was born in England but both my parents come from Cwmbran (not far from Pontypool).

I'm from the Brecon area. I've often thought that there seems to be an unusally high number of active members from South Wales on these forums.
