Location, location, location

Having recently moved from "Up North" to the "Soft South", I am starting to realise what must surely be one of the great advantages.

As proven this morning, I can leave the cottage at 10:00 am, drive to the nearest town, park up, walk to a certain emporium, make a swift purchase, and be home as 11:00 am is striking. Not even been missed, as SWMBO thinks I am still on the loo.

Where have I been? SRS. What did I buy? The Oly 17mm f1.8 (thanks to an influx of purchasing power from Sapper).

Nirvana!

And so small you can easily smuggle it into the house tucked in a pocket!

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with that little gem.

They put it in a plain plastic bag so it could easily be disguised as a pie if need be. Not that you make decent pies down here.

Went out with it and the dogs to try it, but after two minutes the heavens opened and the three dogs collectively ran for home with me in tow without a shot being fired.

But it gives a perfect field of view for a carry-round. I see I shall be torn twixt this and the 45mm as to which lens to leave on.

Re: Location, location, location

I did not realize you had moved Stephen, must be such a temptation being that close to SRS, a bit like living next to a cake shop.

Not into cakes too much. Now pies, decent Lancashire or Yorkshire pies, that's a different thing ....

If she doesn't notice I'm no longer in the house, what do you think?

Actually, she's fully aware. I don't worry about her charity-shop frocks, she doesn't worry about my charity shop purchases (aka SRS!). I told her it was a men-only version of Oxfam.
