Fancy a quick tickle?

Farmer Ant goes to work.
He doesn't seem to notice the Aphidius wasps 'impregnating' his 'crop'.

This won't hurt, just a small prick.

The second image shows an Aphidius wasp laying an egg. Something I have never seen.

"Impregnating " is still appropriate, as mummies will result.

Excellent images.

I thought technically speaking 'macro' refers to magnifications greater than 1:1, where as upto 1:1 is actually "micro".

I must remember not to get reincarnated into a bug. Their universe is fraught with perils and pleasures on a par with ours.

That has slipped into disuse.

OK, if you have an object of real life size 35mm long, filling the frame of a FF sensor, what is its macro status when blown up on a monitor after an upload?
