David Bailey

David is the person that inspired me more than any one else. I have followed and admired his work for many many years.

Re: David Bailey

He's certainly a true icon and one of the very few photographers who is a household name. Undoubtably one of the all time Greats.

"A hundredth of a second here, a hundredth of a second there even if you put them end to end, they still only add up to one, two, perhaps three seconds, snatched from eternity." ~ Robert Doisneau

Re: David Bailey

Indeed and my favourite of his books which I have is "The Lady Is A Tramp" a book of portraits of his wife Catherine Baily.
Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

Re: David Bailey

He seemed very relaxed when you were photographing him Graham - he was obviously interested in your Pen.

A nice shot of the chap.

Regards. Barr1e
Just like that - gone in a flash! Now in use.

Re: David Bailey

That's a really nice portrait of a very famous person, I've always admired his work too. I saw some of his pictures at Dimbola Lodge on the Isle of Wight.

Am I the only one wondering how you managed to both meet him and also be able to take his picture?
