Squirrel Adventures

What to do when you pick up a big chunk of bread from the bird table.

I know, go and hide in a tree.

Bit of a bummer when you drop the darn thing though so down we go.

Found it!

Back up the tree to a nice perch.

All shot in our miserable grey rainy weather through the double glazing so the photos are not amazing (the last one is definitely OOF but I only had time to rattle of one shot before she moved higher and went out of sight) but I enojyed watching the antics as they unfolded.

They are extremely hard to deter from raiding the bird table!

Re: Squirrel Adventures

My approach to picture taking is slow and steady, elbows in, take a breath and hold, compose take the shot... really old school film stuff. So when I'm faced with a moving creature it rarely comes off, hence the difference between the first shot and the rest. I really must master the technique to get the autofocus to lock on a moving subject first time. When faced with something like this there is only the one opportunity.

So although the pictures are not great they are part of the slow climb out of the winter doldrums when I didn't take any.

A week earlier the squirrel had raided the bird table and struggled off with a whole doughnut - where's the camera when you want it in a hurry!.

Thank you all for looking.
