To prove a point, I guess ("Look how sharp I can get a single lash"). Inherently the E-5 would have more DOF and we could expect both the eye and the lashes to be sharp.

80mp sounds impressive but it's only twice the linear resolution of an EOS5DII which in turn is only twice the linear resolution of the redoubtable E-1.
