accepting the panorama function, for which it's not alone, this lens isn't going to give the OP any additional FOV over that he already has.

Re: Landscape lens

Might be worth looking at the 17mm as it is wide enough for landscapes, long enough for street and cheap enough to make it viable and once stopped down to f4 delivers good IQ.

It also comes in black depending on camera body colour.

don't think the 17 fits with the 'must be 43 as it's for an E1' bit in the OP...

The 12-60 is a very nice lens but doesn't really meet your cheap as possible criteria. I have seen one recently for £250 but this is an exceptional price. If you find one south of £350 I would say you got a good deal.

Another thing to think about is, if you already own a 14-54, you are only gaining 2mm at the wide end for quite a large outlay. I know 2mm is quite significant at these focal lengths but are you willing to pay that much for it.

If the 14-54mm is not wide enough do have a look at the 9-18. It is a very good piece of glass for the money and you will have much less overlap in your lens collection.

Ooops, reading too fast with too many other distractions around so missed that bit!

Sorry all

Re: Landscape lens

If you went for a 12-60 (which would be my suggestion too as it's a great lens) you could always sell your 14-54 to help pay for it .

Re: Landscape lens

Hi,

You were asking for a wide angle lens with affordable price tag in the first place, so I suggested the 9-18. 9mm is probably wider than you need for most landscape applications, probably 12mm is wide enough. But I leave that one up to you...

As previous poster wrote the 12-60mm could be an option that would make the 14-54 redundant (and also the 40-150 redundant since the gap between 60mm and 70mm is small). The step between 12mm and 14mm is quite large.

One 12-60mm was sold a few days ago on this forum, price asked for £250 - a real bargain. Not sure about the condition, though.

There is a newly listed one on eBay:, at £399:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Olympus-Zu...#ht_256wt_1158

I bought a Zuiko 9-18 here on the forums and it is a sharper lens than my E-1 can resolve, meaning anything sharper would be worthless on that body.
I also use a 14-54MkI so I'm assuming you definitely want wider than 14mm.

Re: Landscape lens

Just seen this on eBay. I don't have anything to do with it and don't know the seller but it might be an opportunity to get a wide angle lens for not a lot

Sigma 10-20
