Maybe, just maybe ......

..... I am going to sell my 'Nocticron'

So I am 'sounding out' any possible interest. Why am I thinking of selling this wonderful lens that so many ( including I ) lust after?

Well the 50mm F1.4 that I ordered for my Leica M4 has arrived and after having also mounted it to my em5 mk2 and found how easy it is to focus it and how great the results look plus how small it is I am really considering using it instead of the Nocti.

The 50mm is so much smaller, more in-keeping with the 15mm F1.7 I just know I am going to use it instead of the Nocticron.

So, any interest guys/girls? Before I change my mind.

It is 'As new' , boxed with hood and all papers

Lets 'tempt' someone ..... £650.00

I'll even pick up the postage

Here are a couple of images, and before anyone asks .... the em5 mk2 is NOT included

I have said "maybe" and "considering" , selling that is, because it's sale is 'on my mind' , I am also a man of my word so if there is genuine interest I will "sell" at the price above because even if I had a change of heart I do not believe in disappointing genuine interest.

Kind regards, Simon

Hi Simon,

It would be a firm yes from me however can't make payment until the 22nd. Teenage daughters and birthdays don't mix well.

If okay with you, consider it sold.

All the best,

Steve

Steve,

Assuming you, like I, am a man-of-your-word and I am sure you are, then YES I am prepared to wait until the 22nd for payment.

I shall PM you shortly with my details so that you have them to hand and I in turn shall pack the lens ready for posting to you.

Thank you very much, I am sure you will enjoy I have but the 50mm 'M' lens makes more sense for 'me' now.

Kind regards, Simon

What a lens, a proper lens with an aperture control ring. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

The layout is similar to the Panny 15 f1.7 (which I own), it's great being able to see the f number before raising the camera.

I'm looking forward to it...I too own the 15mm as well as the 25mm, so am looking forward to completing the PL trilogy.

I thought so too Steve, well that was until the new 50mm arrived and that kind of changed everything as I had a feeling it might. The 15mm is my currently most used M4/3 lens, the 25mm is nice but I HATE the fact I cannot reverse the hood, I can see that one going next because of that (IMO ) 'oversight' by Panasonic. Funny how some 'small things' can really annoy you.

Anyway, below is my new 50 on the 5mk2

Kind regards, Simon

Re: Maybe, just maybe ......

Also on the PL 25 f1.4 there's no aperture control, another mistake in my opinion - of course one needs an appropriate camera to make use of the f stop control ring (I have a GX7 and GM5, so happy days!).
Like you Simon the 15mm is my lens if choice, it's brilliant for street photography. I have it 'welded' to my GM5!

Re: Maybe, just maybe ......

Concerning the non reversing lens hood, I leave the hood permanently attached, no lens cap, just a UV filter for protection.
The 15 is probably one of the best designs going, lens hood with a lens cap that bungs the hood, brilliant!

Here you go Graham .....

Superb quality and craftsmanship, good value for money too when you think how much camera manufacturers often charge for such items.

Kind regards, Simon
