Portraits of my best friends

Hi everyone!

I've been trying out my Samyang 85mm f1.4 which I bought for portraits but find it hard to get any volunteers, but my best friends have both obliged after I have taken them out for a big walk.

Lucky:-

and Abbie:-

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Ralph.

Hi there Wee man!

His eyes are darker than Abbies anyway, but this was taken without flash and he was pretty much directly underneath the main light in the room leaving him in shadow. I agree it might be worth seeing if I could lighten them up a touch though. He really isn't keen on flash photography, so I thought I'd give it a try without since I had a fast lens, if I'd tried a torch for a little extra light he would have been up and bouncing around the room trying to chase the beam!

Iansky :- His hair is just always like that - if he gets it wet when it dries it goes even more crimped looking! I have to stop the wife and kids from spiking it up into a unicorn horn at times .

Thanks to everyone who has had a look,

Cheers,

Ralph.

Great shots, Love Spaniels, is it like Dachies eye colour matching coat. Oliver does not even like the red light for focus, so you have to be quick

Re: Portraits of my best friends

Super pooches! My old Springer is now 18 and sleeps (snores) most of the time. She is very arthritic now but is still mobile, thanks to modern drugs, and hanging on in there!

Re: Portraits of my best friends

Hi everyone!

Is it just me or are there a high proportion of springer owners on this forum? As an excuse for going for a wander with a camera they are hard to beat!

Cheers,

Ralph.
