That's a beautiful shoot of a beautiful bird, saw my first one this year. The setting is really good as well. If you had not told us (and didn't look at exif) you would never know just how poor the light was.

Quite unexpectedly I also saw one today in the River Pinn, from the bridge in Pinner, Middx.. The river there is basically a dirty ditch in a concrete channel.

Another lovely bird and a couple of excellent shots David. I don't think I have ever seen Grey Wagtails in the winter, only the summer.
