Question Possible mini meet in Greenwich?

At last night's Olympus Image Space event party I bumped into e-group member Norman Smith, who also works for the Royal Photographic Society. One of the things he does for the RPS is look after their gallery in Greenwich, which I understand might not be there for much longer. Greenwich is a very photogenic part of London and I would also like to visit the Astro Photography of the Year exhibition at the Greenwich Museum.

Norman said that even if the RPS place was closed he would open it specially if there was a group of us.

If there is interest we can start to discuss dates. What do you think?

Ian

Re: Possible mini meet in Greenwich?

I for one would lurve to re visit my old home/haunts of Greenwich & Blackheath and maybe the market is still there on a Sunday ?

It is so very "loaded" with photo opportunities, starting from the top of Greenwich Park Gates (parking easy) the Observatory ; the Deer herds ; the Thames from above ; down to the Navel Museum ; Cutty Sark and ... and ...

Re: Possible mini meet in Greenwich?

Hi Ian,

Depending on dates and times I would like to show up.

As like the meet with th EM-1 if I can arrange my work around another visit to see more of the group then that would be good.

Arranged my work visit next week to come down on Sunday to watch the last stage of the Tour of Britain, weather looking good at present.

Re: Possible mini meet in Greenwich?

Yes, please. Count me in.

I went to the 'Visions of the Universe' exhibition at the Nat Maritime Museum a while ago, and it was (genuinely) awe-inspiring.
