For Andrew - Wot, no scaffolding?

Jon and I made it to the Albert Hall, in daylight. The scaffolding had gone from the Albert Memorial, leaving it clean and shiney just for our visit. Shame it wasn't better light!

Re: For Andrew - Wot, no scaffolding?

I like the light as is, beautiful picture, well balanced tones.

Nice one John.

Re: For Andrew - Wot, no scaffolding?

Nice contrast between "shiny gold Albert" and the threatening sky.

Regards.

Re: For Andrew - Wot, no scaffolding?

I was just thinking the same as Mark and Peter, the gold decoration really stands out against that filthy sky, and probably wouldn't have been nearly as striking if it were all bright and cheerful. Well spotted and caught.

Yes, the dark clouds enhance the golden monument.

Re: For Andrew - Wot, no scaffolding?

Thanks all, I must admit the sky was grey but somewhat lighter out of camera!

Re: For Andrew - Wot, no scaffolding?

I agree with the above the darker background helps to set it of, maybe a bit of lightening at front of picture?

OK John, so the scaffolding has gone but the light wasn't the best - is it all my fault??

Seriously, good shots!
