Male Linnet

I never have much luck with Linnets. They always seem to spot me and fly off just as I am about to take a shot of them. However, at Lowestoft North Denes a few weeks ago I found a couple of Linnets which were much too interested in announcing their presence to the world to bother about me. I think the bird in the second shot is making it perfectly clear that I am not going to be allowed to get any closer.

E-30, 50-200 SWD, EC-14.

Re: Male Linnet

Hello Ron,
These are two great shots of a nice songbird, they're hard to spot when they dart about so much. These photos would be a great help for identification as they are not really distinctive birds, at first sight you think female Chaffinch!
Regards Jim.
