Garden

Centre snapshots.

These caught my eye, in the erstwhile dark area of Jungle Plants, a shaft of bold sunslight danced over these vivid colours and brightened up my day !

From now on, I shall forget buying plants and flowers to enjoy at home with the camera and just pop over to Hilliers Garden Centre ... thats the way to do it

Re: Garden

Love the lighting on these, I always take a camera XZ-1 or OM-D to the garden centre plenty of variety to be found any time of the year.

Re: Garden

How can you go to a Garden Centre and not purchase!
I even get sucked in at the Bargain Table and take home half dead plants to try and revive them. It sometimes works.
Nice shots Chevvy.

Nice shots Chevvy.

Nicholas helps me not to purchase, he says "yes Dear (in a Bart Simpson voice) lets TRY and leave it there for someone else.

I also DO NOT TAKE ANY MONEY OR CARDS.

Thus, if I really REALLY want to buy something - I have to beg Nick for the cash or his card.

IT WORKS ! and I no longer have dead or dying plants indoors - just silk or dried flowers (to dust) and photograph - without the maintenance pain and cost

My 2 Golden Rules for visiting Garden Centres.
1. NEVER EVER let hubby come too.
2. Always take Auntie Visa instead.

When we move to our 3rd Wave home, soon, I shall be hard landscaping the garden for maximum enjoyment of seasonal fragrances; and low to no maintenance - thus Astra turf instead of green stuff that grows and needs mowing! THEN I shall maybe, adopt your 2 Golden Rules Lyn.

Its no promelem in Lidl - Nick refuses to even go in their car park and they only take cash or debit cards so I have a great time in there and THEY sell some plants/cut flowers too

Re: Garden

Bargain Table is the only way to go, to give a little twig a good chance so you can complain about having to prune it for ever more is the best fun

Terrific light on these, well spotted and caught.
