Noise reduction

the E-400 has dark frame noise reduction on bulb...if you set on manual at 60 seconds so the noise reduction does not kick in...

the stars move, the clouds move but the noise doesn't!!

wish Oly had done the noise upgrades in a firmware update for the E400

Re: Noise reduction

Fantastic animated sequence, but as you say, shame about the noise...

There are a shed load of things I would like my E400 to do, but there's no chance of an upgrade now...

I like the E400 a lot and will keep it, but there is an E510 in my sights if the company bonus turns up soon

It's a pity they've left us behind when I'm sure there are a few things that could easily be upgraded without too much effort on their part.

Super video sequence crimbo

Re: Noise reduction

dont hold your breath Ellie... it is an archived camera and there is unlikely to be any development on it...
the animation is just 5 images into Paintshop Animator to produce the .gif file
Next clear night I have to go back to using my E400 as I used my Zenit B...put it on bulb and hold the remote button for the prerequisite time...
