Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

Just outside Canberra (the national capital) in the foothills to the Australian Alps is the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. It covers 55 square kms and is home to a wide range of Australian native animals and birds.

This is a brolga

A native tortoise

The usual roos

and an emu

Love the turtle Terry!
How great to capture a Brolga.
Last time we were there a fire had caused quite a bit of damage. We always enjoy the drive out to the Space Centre. And last visit thought that the Arboretum in Canberra was really going ahead and looking good.

Re: Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

The second roo (young female?) has my pick with her being nicely in focus (it's a shame some of the others aren't in focus).

I fiddle with violins (when I'm not fiddling with a camera).
