London meet: 4 shot pano of St Pauls & South bank

Morning all

Some stunning shots appearing on here from the excellent meet-up last Friday in London, it really was a super evening and for me, well worth the trip as I enjoyed meeting everyone - those I hadn't met before and those I already knew.

I haven't had too much of a chance to process my images as yet, and today is also a busy one as we are off out to the seafront for the day, but early this morning I had a chance to process this 4-shot panorama (AutoPanoPro) of the lovely evening view as we walked along the South Bank.

The image shown on here is a low-res version which has been suitably re-sized for eGroup, but I have linked it to the large 7000 * 3500 px version so if you want to be able to zoom in - then just click on the image and a larger version should open up in your browser window.

Hope you enjoy!

Oh WOW! You really DO need to click to see the larger version...superb clarity and detail.

I love that shot - we cruised through London on a narrowboat last summer and it brings back some lovely memories.

Fantastic shot John, with so much detail in the larger version - it's really captured the essence of this iconic scene. Glad to see your mojo is coming back!

Excellent panorama John - a great memory of a good evening on the Thames. Also liked very much your portrait of Bill from your earlier post. It was good to meet up with you - not something I thought we would do, bearing in mind the distance involved for you!

Hope you enjoyed your day by the sea!

Regards,
Ann1e

Many thanks Ian, 4 shots stitched with AutopanoPro, taken with the 7-14mm @14mm.

Well, I am happy to say that it's so-far-so-good, and I am enjoying it. As you know, I like to get to know my camera intimately, sufficiently enough so as not to have to remove the camera from my eye to amend any setting once I have composed - and so I am busy testing out modes, fn button options (have found some limitations - will post elsewhere), filters, how far I can push the ISO etc. It's also helping me with my photo-mojo as I want to revisit some of the locations where I have already taken shots to try out similar images and compositions with the E-5.

Ta for asking.

That's good to hear, John.
