Uploading panoramas

Good evening all,

As this area is for tutoials etc,I hope I am putting this request in the correct place?

Could any of the experts on using the gallery please explain how to resize panoramas to fit the requirements needed to be shown in the gallery and on threads.

Thanks in advance and enjoy the weekend the weather looks good.

Ian

Re: Uploading panoramas

I'm going to post a reply without checking my facts... mainly because I've had a hard day and a tin of beer.

I seem to remember you need to keep the height below 800 pixels or else the gallery software will resize and mangle* your image in an unsightly manner. The other calculation will be the file size , and that will reflect how badly you mangle* the jpeg yourself in order to fit within the rules.

Getting a pano on the forum without the gallery squashing it is tricky

Pete

*technical terms BTW

Re: Uploading panoramas

Hi Ian

I can show you how to do this using Lightroom and/or Photoshop CS5... I'll record something now.
