Foggy Bridge

One I took last year. I liked the fog pattern, but had to use HDR to get any detail in. One nice thing with the fog, it got rid of the mountain and trees behind the bridge.

Hello Danny

I like this image very much, the more that I look at it...it looks like two images placed one on top of the other!! Thanks for posting.

Re: Foggy Bridge

That's a great picture, Danny - terrific mood, powerful composition, fantastic subject and excellent HDR technique.

Re: Foggy Bridge

Danny, I have to say, as I scrolled down to your photo and saw the fog, I thought "NO!" ... then I scrolled down further, and WOW, and by the time I got the foreground I thought "MEGA WOW" . TRULY GREAT COMPOSITION ! Thanks for sharing

Yes, this image really works for me too, one that really holds my attention. And like Bill thought it looked like two images layered, but the more I looked the more I saw the verticals in the bridge linked in to the verticals in the foreground and I love the way the saturated colour in the foreground recedes to almost monotone in the background.

A captivating image

Re: Foggy Bridge

Thanks for all the replies. When I shot this scene, I was wondering if I could make it into something I liked. I'm trying to get away from HDR unless I really require it for unusual dynamic ranges, and this was one of those times. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks it works. I finally have some big projects over and can get back into shooting.
