50-200 SWD + EC-20 was a nice combo and in 75% situations I was happy.

What I was missing was:
-fast focus for BIFs;
-very good IQ at middle&long distance;
-F/7.1 is a limitation in low-light;
-C-AF (was unusable with EC-20). And 50-200 alone could support C-AF but was too short.

I do wildlife with Olympus for many years. I wished to have a perfect system and now I have it.
300mm F/4.0 covers all my exigent needs.
I could afford 300mm and I bought it. If I could not afford it, I would probably still use 50-200 + ec-20 and still be happy.
