Gulls in flight with the EM1.2 3.0 firmware

here are some photos taken the other day after having updated the EM1.2 FW to version 3.0, coupled to the 300 F/4

Settings:
CAF (not CAF-TR)
5x5
F/4
Auto ISO, min shutter speed 1/1600
CAF sensitivity +2
Focus limiter: 5 meter ... 35 meter, except from when photographing the larger gulls which would sweep along the shoreline on the upwind formed by the strong on-shore winds hitting a steep ridge.

Light conditions were shifting quickly from sunny to overcast.

Photos are taken at two locations, one with on-shore winds and high perspective 25 meters above sea level, the other with off-shore winds and low perspective from 5 meters and down to water level if you dare... Good thing the setup is splash proof.

Black-headed gull

Common gull

Herring gull

Great black-backed gull

I believe the setup delivers.

Thanks for looking
Tord

Re: Gulls in flight with the EM1.2 3.0 firmware

Yes thanks for the settings, I have almost always used the smallest focusing dot, as a lot of my photos are in woods with trees. But I must get out a bit more (!) and do some more BIF's...…………

Both gulls and terns are super photos, thanks again...………...
