Switching Paypal delivery address is an obvious scam and should never be considered. OTOH, the poster on that DPReview thread who is complaining about having had a list of login names and passwords stolen by using a hotel WiFi sounds more than a bit suspicious.

How vulnerable are we when using Public Wifi's? I certainly never do any banking on them, but being able to access your computer??? Surely your computer would ask if this was to allowed???

There is a technique called Krack (Key Reinstallation AttaCk) which means that WPA is vulnerable to attack. It's quite well documented here:

In principle it means that your WiFi comms are indeed vulnerable to being snooped. However, if you are patching your Windows regularly then you'll be OK.

My push back to the DPReview post though is that snooping on WiFi is one thing, but being able to read someone's entire list of logins and usernames sounds a bit far fetched. You'd have to be providing an open NetBIOS share on your C drive or something like that for it to happen.
