Lucky guys. Really pleased to see people getting their new kit.

I have to ask the question how come SRS can get them out when I ordered direct from Olympus on the 11th and not a dicky bird.

Made worse by the fact that they debited my credit card on the 11th. Starting to get genuinely annoyed about this.

Re: Delivery dates...

Hec, I I did the same as you but did not get debited until the beginning of this week. BUT. A block had been placed on the funds on the card. I could use the money unless i had cancelled the order. This is normal. Perhaps your card provider probably just displayed it differently. Oly online said they only actually took the money when the ship. They also day it takes 2-5 days. Hang tight :-)

Mmm - slightly different in my case. The money was actually debited on the card on the 11th and I have since paid my credit card bill. So I have done my half of the contract in advance with, so far, no information or goods.

If I wasn't grumpy already this could start me on my way.

Re: Delivery dates...

You have been somewhat unlucky since I was worried nothing had happened when nothing left the card. It took a call to only online for then to reassure Mr everything was actually in order.

Fingers crossed for that DHL truck today...

Looks like I will have to get on the phone to get some information.

Re: Delivery dates...

I'm in the same boat, waiting for an Olympus direct order. I have my eyes peeled for a DHL truck but I've just noticed the following in my Order Confirmation email back on the 11th.

"As soon as the order will be shipped, we will send you a bill for your purchase by e-mail."

As I haven't received an email copy of the invoice, I suspect my camera hasn't shipped yet.

That is annoying as, like you, my card has been debited, and I do not understand their thinking here!
Why debit before dispatching goods??
Very unprofessional if that is the case, particularly as Olympus told me they would be sending my camera body once they had taken the money!

I was, however, told yesterday that we would NOT receive any e-mail, but the goods would just arrive.

Mixed messages here.

I would like some confirmation either way..

Re: Delivery dates...

OK guys - I have just spoken to Olympus direct to find out what is happening.

To summarise.

> my order will/should be shipped today from Belgium
> it will ship with the MMF-3 and HLD-7 ( this is what I was hoping for when I ordered direct )
> those who went via dealers will have to apply for the "accessories" allegedly so there could be a delay
> the lady will ring me later, by 14:00 BST, with the DHL tracking number

What that means is next week some time from what I can deduce. She was very helpful as I suspect they are getting many similar calls because dealers are shipping. It will be interesting to know if in fact it is the case that dealer shipped bodies are without the accessories.

I suspect a similar story will apply to others who went direct to Olympus.

Hope that helps

cheers

Hec

Re: Delivery dates...

I am not expecting the "free goodies" to be supplied when I pick my camera up from the dealers. This was made very clear right from day one.

Brian...I'm not arguing that.

But if they do debit my card, I expect the goods to have been sent!

In my case, at least, I have now been told they are on Back order, so to have taken the money knowing the goods are out of stock is, I'm sure you would agree, unprofessional?

Ah. Yes. I didn't spot that. That's poor.
