Star Trail

Taken last night, 60 x 20 sec shots stacked in Starstax and tweaked in PS.
EM1mk2, 12-100 f4, ISO400

Impressive. I’m seeing a lot of this type of photography (star trails and astrophoography) at the moment, and might give it s try.

Great image but interested to know why you stacked these and did not use the fantastic composite mode in OMD cameras? Whenever I see a star trail I think how lucky we are with an Olympus camera to be able to create such images in camera without all the fuss of post processing.

Simple answer is I forgot all about Live Comp. Just watched Gavin Hoey on YouTube to remind me what it can do.

That said I had to use PS to get a better foreground because looking North from my garden is pretty boring so some post processing was necessary.

What a wally I am

Excellent shot, I had been led to believe MFT couldn't do astro stuff.
