Editing Threads

Hi All,

On occasions in the past I have been able to edit my threads to correct a spelling mistake or missing link without problem.
Today I tried to correct a thread on which I had omitted a word and I am unable to do so.
Have I forgotten how to do this due to my senility, gone mad or is there a problem with the forum software?

Regards

Gavin

Update
For some reason after posting this thread my editing symbol/button has reappeared at the bottom of my thread.

Very strange!

Second Update

Could it be that you can only edit a thread if its a singleton, any subsequent addition to the thread blocks the edit button to the previous threads, thus keeping the integrity of the whole thread.
If I'm correct anyone adding to this thread will stop my access to this part of the thread.

Third Update
Subsequent to Pete's (snaarman) post I can still edit this thread I wonder how long before the concrete sets!

Re: Editing Threads

You are allowed to edit for a certain length of time, then the concrete sets

Re: Editing Threads

Hi gno

We have the option of putting any timescale on the editing of (1) titles and (2) the content on the firums. Currently those times are set to 10 mins to edit thread titles, and 1 day to edit the content of the thread/post.

Hope this helps.

John

Re: Editing Threads

Thanks John and Pete,

I thought for a time I was losing it, when you know that you can do something but just can't remember how to do it.

Regards

Gavin
