Re: Heads up sale EM5 Mk2 and lenses

Nice M5ii safely received and all working well so far. Many thanks!

2 tasks remain: setting up all those blasted menus & mysets, and getting used to back-button focus with my right thumb competing for space with my nose at the back of the camera (being left-eye dominent). Neither of these unexpected, of course...

Re: Heads up sale EM5 Mk2 and lenses

Hmmmm. Just done some on-tripod 'product' type photography plus some garden shooting, and I now realise why I decided to swap one E-M1 for this -M5 II. I had an enormously easier time coping with high and low tripod positions with the flippy screen.

I'm convinced.

It's also smaller than the E-M1 by a significant margin and the mechanical shutter is really nice and quiet.

I just wonder whether I might now sell my GM1 which I've had as a backup body. I could keep some/all of the mini lenses and/or get a Sony RX100 for when I wanted to be really pocket-based.

Yes the articulated screens are great, pity the A7R2 doesn't have one.

The EM5 Mk2 really is a nice compact camera, glad you like it.

Re: Heads up sale EM5 Mk2 and lenses

Yeah, the Riii is going to be the one with the fully articulated screen. That gives guys like you more pressure to upgrade and sell your Rii to the likes of me next year!

Cheers.
