Establishing a presence Elsewhere

After many years of Not Bothering, I'm finally getting around to 'doing a website', and (somewhat reluctantly) re-establishing a presence on Flickr.

Triggered by the discovery that most of the people on a photo trip I'm going on in September are actually Pro photographers or semi-Pro's, and that I'm therefore going to be the only 'dabbler' of the group. And also the only female. And probably also the only m4/3 user! So all told, I felt I had to do something to increase my Photographic Credibility just a little!

Anyway, if anyone here is on Flickr, and would like to exchange contacts there, please either pm me here with your username, or look me up on Flickr as mmrainey_photography. At the moment, having only just joined yesterday, I'm very Sad and have no mates! .

Hi Margaret, feel free to get in touch here https://www.flickr.com/photos/75445098@N04/ (Brian Wadie Photographer)

Just had a quick look at your flikr site, I don't think you need worry about being considered "only a Dabbler"

I doubt many of the so-called pros are going to have your IR experience, for one thing!

Do what you do, you do it well... If others like it that's a bonus.

Other peoples opinions are just that. We here respect your skills and your photography.

Have fun.

Re: Establishing a presence Elsewhere

Hmmm, the only non-pro, the only Olympus user and the only female.

I feel really sorry for those guys; little do they know that they're about to be humbled! I've seen your work!

Re: Establishing a presence Elsewhere

I find it hilarious that 'pros' pay to go on photo tours. I hope there's a good instructor to help them use their equipment.

Well if that's dabbling I don't think I've started. You have some great looking shots on there Margaret. Those pros must be getting very afraid if they've looked at your shots. I've followed you too.
