Re: Godox X1T-O

No, RC is an optical system (uses data encoded in light pulses), and does not use the wireless system that this unit uses

Re: Godox X1T-O

Seems a shame. I like the RC system for keeping control in the camera rather than having to visit multiple flashes around the place to make adjustments. Also like the idea of the RC user interface being the same irrespective of different flash models. the problem with RC is that the optical link is to fragile. I don't see why in principle it would not be possible for Olympus to make the RC messages available in different formats. (I sometimes wonder whether some kind of fibre optic cables would do the trick. And sometimes I despair of flash altogether and think wider aperture lenses and stationary or slow moving subjects are enough).

Re: Godox X1T-O

I think the new Oly system, launched alongside the E-M1X, is controlled by radio rather than optically. I've no idea whether it fits with any sort of standard system though.
