A word.

In your ear like shell.
Pinner opening.

About 17mm end to end.

Over to you Harold! I found it in the garden when I moved a stack of wood.

Re: A word.

I get these on the bark of living trees and on rotten wood, among the fungi and slime moulds in my garden.

I bought a book on British Land Snails but didn't get very far with identification.

From my "What is That?" popular book, it looks like the Plaited Door Snail Cochlodina laminata. I also get the smaller, stouter Lesser Bulin Ena obscura
