Umbrellas for flash

Looking at needing a couple of diffuser/umbrellas for a photo shoot (hence me collecting flash guns at the moment!)

Has anyone used these cheap Neewer one's Amazon are offering?

Re: Umbrellas for flash

I use white translucent ones and add a silver reflective layer if needed.

EBay ones are good enough and far fewer tears if they get damaged.

Try looking at Cotswold Photo on EBay, they do some decent stuff. Also bought some cheap reflectors branded Photo R. Only experience with Neewer has been a tripod plate and a clamp both seem well made for the price.

Re: Umbrellas for flash

I have not used these umbrellas, but I have just bought a couple of Neewer soft boxes from Amazon for under 11 each to use with my Chinese studio strobes. They are very well made and fit perfectly. First results are very pleasing.

Many thanks...

I think I'm going to buy a set as I want to be able to do some family photography which will need better lighting.

So thank you very much for the offer.

Paul

Try " Jack the Hat " on Flea-bay, been using them years, good stuff and reasonable.

Re: Umbrellas for flash

Just arrived today, tried them out and while the effect s good, my portrait work needs a lot of attention!

Got a week or so to practice!
