Common Terns

We have had favorable wind conditions lately, enabling to get close to the action - almost too close. On my last sessions I tried something different: with help of chest waders, I waded across a narrow channel and installed myself on a rock offering a high level perspective of the action. With too much of the subject in frame, the viewfinder lag means that panning and framing is like rolling a dice. Shame some of these shots were clipped, but the nice light deserves to be shared. The 50-200 SWD came in handy at extreme short range, however I got reminded how the E-M1 CAF miserably struggles and usually fails. Some came out quite OK though.

Thanks for looking,
Tord

Re: Common Terns

Some nice shots, shame about the clipping. You could try cropping some to make the clipping look deliberate.

Re: Common Terns

That's the sort of thing I was thinking of.
