Cards that sell ?

I have been out and about lots of National Gardens open in "the scheme" taking images of flowers and plants and scenes for "Cards"

What do you think of this one ?

Do you have best seller card images ?

Please add yours

Re: Cards that sell ?

When I 'did' craft fairs, I found that local views sold well. But flower shots did sell, poppies were popular. What I thought was a good pic sometimes did not do well.
This shot is good, I should think it would sell.

Re: Cards that sell ?

Nice image Chevvy, cards are not a market I've explored yet so can't post any examples, my thoughts would be that wording on the front may need to be taken into account regarding the market that's being targeted. Out of interest do you know what are the best sellers in the card market?

I watched an interesting programme last night on supermarkets and was surprised to learn that Strawberries sold so well and how much research went into producing the perfect strawberry.

Re: Cards that sell ?

This is going to sound silly but I think it would be better if the image was flipped. (mirrored) So the centre stem moves in from lower left as opposed to coming in from lower right.

It's a very nice picture and the border suits it well.

Re: Cards that sell ?

I'd say you've captured what you want very well. I've seen similar things in card shops so I'm guesing this type of things sells. No experience of this though.

Hi Dave, I decided NOT to do Craft Fairs - BUT I do sell to friends, neighbours and family and we have a "Trusty Box" outside under the bench seat storage box - so people stop by, lift out the box of cards, sit on the bench and select some and leave the money. Sometimes I do a "free stall" or even pay 5.00 for a table at a school Fete (2 hrs max on Duty) which just increases my "Trusty box" Sales and I display a few prints of children or events to stimulate a few extra pennies for Christmas/Holidays

Re: Cards that sell ?

I'm sure when I opened this thread there was only one image at the top. Now there are two (the flipped one is there as well). Spooky.
