Re: Can I just say...

Sent the newsletter just now and there are suddenly 20-odd FTU members online busily changing User Control Panel options

Re: Can I just say...

Thanks for highlighting this problem, I understand now why I didn't like the 4/3 forum. Changing the options in the CP helped rectify the display.

Thumbs up Re: Can I just say...

I've been a member of FTU since I took up photography a couple of years ago, but I don't go there much now. I don't like the layout or the adverts (one of my little foibles), although I appreciate that income has to be generated somewhere.

I joined several forums at the start, but I quickly found that I haven't the time to visit them all and some were better than others. This forum is by far the friendliest, most helpful and informative of all the sites I visited, and as it's specific to the camera system I use, the most useful!

There's no bickering and backbiting amongst members as found on other sites and it's altogether rather a nice place to visit...let's hope it stays that way!

Re: Can I just say...

I enjoy this forum, and the feedback you get. It is always constructive, precise and more often than not has instant impact on your pictures.

I would like to say thank you to those who have helped me this week with improving my macro shots, every little nugget of advice put together has seen me improve more this week than I have in 12 months.

My only criticsm of the forum is Foto Fair, could it be divided into sub forums relevant to the pictures being posted? Threads seem to be dropping down the pages extremely quickly now.

Just half a dozen categories,
Animals
Landscapes
People
Planes, Trains and Automobiles etc?
Looking for perfection I think is forum title that is a little daunting to post in too.

Positives far out weight the negatives and it is a friendly forum!
Tim

Yes, this is my favourite photo forum. A cross between a photo club and a camera magazine , devoted to my favourite camera brand -)

You could do (on FTU) what I have just done & click on Forum in the upper left & save that web short cut to always start at the Forum page which is just like this Home Page here.

This is a nice friendly, helpful forum & with just a little banter.

Would you believe that forum layout is the single thing which has prevented me joining all these years.

( I almost left DPEReview when they fudged everything up there ... but this browser's ad-blocker works a treat on that site. )
