See you there then Ben does not seem a popular experience day for members on here. Hope we get to go use the pro's vantage points near the track.

Hi Guys,

I got a confirmation from them a couple of weeks ago that I had a place but I've heard nothing since.

I'm away tomorrow at a Goodwood trackday so wont be able to chase anyone up at Olympus.

Have you had any real instructions of where to report to or any details of the day?

If I don't get an email tomorrow its just under a three hour drive on Saturday morning on the off chance!

Had a good day at Rockingham and a big thanks to the Olympus team and Mike Inkley. There were about 30 of us and I asked around and did not find anyone on this forum. Learnt a few things about the MKii settings and a couple of tricks when shooting motor sports. Action was club class motor sports but it did allow us the freedom to go (safely) to places the public are not permitted. Got to wear the high vis media jacket, felt like a pro, but that's all.

CAF and tracking with viewfinder now definitely works, just need to brush up on my panning skills.

Yes that's what I thought it was, and he was drifting it around the corners as well before being swallowed up on the straights.

Definitely & made the most of them too!
I have a pit lane pass for the BTCC but can't get anywhere like this at Rockingham (other than the last shot).
It's a shame as it's one of the tracks close to me, but you need a seriously long lens to avoid the crash barriers from normal viewing areas.

My dad briefly owned an A40 - and like many other owners discovered that the front suspension had a habit of failing catastrophically whilst cornering
Luckily we were only travelling slowly at the time

The racing Smart car looks like a fun drive.

I passed my driving test in its big brother, the A55 Mk II

The first shot is my fav love it. I have never shot motorsports I enjoy taking shots of animals mainly dogs, I have to admit never used CF tracking for some reason. Having seen your shots now makes me wonder why im only thinking this now, im quite embarrassed. :-)
