Monsal Head - Peak District

To the left is Monsal Dale, then the Monsal Head Viaduct going over the River Wye, and to the right the start of Cressbrookdale. The Monsal Head viaduct is part of an old railway line that ran from Matlock to Buxton following the course of the River's Derwent and Wye through the Peak District. Nowadays the line is given over to walkers and in part cyclists.

Olympus E3, 12-60mm, tripod.

Great View impressive photo. Brilliant structure just a shame it is not still used for its intended purpose.

Well I don't know about giving secrets away, and of course it is always a case of "f8 and be there", but technically speaking.....I was stood outside the pub at the time.

Thanks for the comments guys.

It's a great shot of a classic view, and what an ideal place to take it from!
