Re: Motorway Brexit signs.

£100M doesn’t buy much these days.

Maybe someone should have told all our illustrious MPs how important Brexit was cos none of ‘em seem to have grasped that. It’s cross party for goodness sake. Looking forward to another election to spoil my vote again. Never thought I’d do or say that before this debacle.

It's been in the general news for weeks that the govt is spending/wasting (depending on the news source!) on a "Get ready for Brexit" advertising campaign. The Magic Money Tree seems to provide an abundance of fruit for Brexit despite having been unable to provide extra money for the NHS and public services.
The cost for Smart Motorways runs at £4 1/2 to £9 million pound per mile. See HERE

I'm deliberately bringing this back to the thread title now.
I've no idea how much the provision of the actual signs cost, as a proportion of that, but I'd suggest that the quoted £100 million is just for Boris's advertising campaign, on the signs, in the media, Facebook adverts etc.

Here's another interesting link.

NAO says government’s £100m Brexit campaign has had “limited impact”
The National Audit Office concluded that the ads are ineffective because they're trying to address issues that are not "manageable or resolvable".

it's certainly had a limited impact on me as I've yet to see any of these ads, other than as quotes by others on news channels and Facebook!
