LR and external drives

I had two external HD's connected to my iMac and when importing images into LR6, I would choose one and then tick 'make a second copy to' and choose the other HD.
Now one of them is full and I got another, a WD My passport for mac. But I cannot make a copy to the second drive. I have to open the drive, make a new folder, then put in my password for my iMac, then I can make a folder and copy straight from the SD card.

I never had this before, any ideas?
