Looks like it's the 24th for V2.0 Firmware

According to an article I have just read the 24th is the date for the new firmware release.

I'm rather disappointed. It seems a like a few features for jpeg shooters and not much else.

The lower 16ms evf display lag is the only thing that interests me. Ho hum.

Maybe v2 tomorrow, v3 on the 24th with 4K video. Or probably not. I hope it is tomorrow (thought it was supposed to be today originally!).

I thought the 16th was for the release of the M1 with the silver body and Firmware V2 already installed.

Caution
When the firmware is updated to version 2.0, settings other than AF Focus adjustments are reset.

Ouch! All settings lost!

That's a real bummer!! I can't think how much time I've spent customising the camera. Why oh why can't we have a feature to export/import settings to and from a PC?

That was one of my requests along with naming Mysets and a few other bits from a thread some months ago.

As you say this is going to be a right royal pain in an area of the body I probably shouldn't mention on the forum.

So it's not just me who feels rather underwhelmed.
