Terns

Hi

This weekend I practiced on Common Terns in flight. You have to anticipate the action (these guys are fast), trying to follow teh subject while adjusting the focus - the AF confirm chip comes in hand here - and shoot a burst.


E620, Skywatcher 600mm F7.5. Distance 30-60 meters.

These are some of the best that came out from the camera.

Very nice! I have been trying to get these in flight too, very difficult to capture, none as nice as yours, not even close. I must admit I am out of practice taking pictures of birds in flight, and it was the first attempt at it with the 50-200.
