A Blackbird Called Lucas

Leucism is more uncommon than rare but this is the frst one I have seen. "Lucas" has been around for a few months now and arrived with some other blackbirds as part of group or even a family.

Hello There.

Anything over here?

What's this?

A nice bit of orange peel.

Now where does this one go?

Re: A Blackbird Called Lucas

I have seen plenty of them with white patches amongst their black feathers but I have never seen one with that colouring before. Nice photos OM.

Re: A Blackbird Called Lucas

An interesting series of attitudes, well spotted and captured.

Re: A Blackbird Called Lucas

Nice capture.
I have never heard of, or seen, a blackbird variant like this.

Re: A Blackbird Called Lucas

Tis an interesting find. I would take a guess this one may be female though.
