The look of the site has changed in the last day or so, but it's not final at all - very experimental and is going to change a lot in the near future.

If you would like to play with the options on the new version of the forum please start by having a look at the thread I mentioned above.

Bear in mind that the Four Thirds User forum is a prototype for the eventual future of the e-group!

Feedback is very welcome!

But it will be not only a test-forum, right?

Tapatalk customer support for publishers haven't yet got back to me. My understanding is that their plug in stopped working properly when vBulletin filled out the latest maintenance update.

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

I tell a lie, I have just seen an email with a work-around and it seems to work.

See if you can log in using TapaTalk now?

Of course the FTU forum is mobile device compliant anyway so the need to use TapaTalk is diminished.

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

For someone who doesn't use FTU so far but uses this forum probably too often (if you believe my other half) can you explain what the differences are please Ian? just curious as to why you run two similar (?) forums and wondered if you'd considered combining them?

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

Phil.
I have only just discovered the sibling site and joined to find out more.
It seems to be a lot quieter than on here.

I agree with your point that joining the two seems to make sense. I am sure other non-Olympus users won't mind sharing with the active community on here

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

The e-group is primarily UK and Olympus-focused, though overseas members are welcomed and discussion around other Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds brands in tandem with Olympus is fine. It's also not funded, primarily, by ads.

Four Thirds User is not UK-centric and treats all Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds brands with equal status. Its funding is through ads as well as other sources (though to be honest, ads don't bring in that much revenue).

Four Thirds User is also an editorial site (that section is also being reworked).

So there are fundamental differences.

They should be complementary.

The short answer is yes

It should work by default - let me have a look at it.

UPDATE: It does work; click on the number of likes you in a post and a list of those who liked your post is revealed. I'm looking at an option to enhance this.

UPDATE 2 - it works on Firefox but not on Chrome - possibly because Chrome prevents pop-ups by default.

UPDATE - enabling pop-ups on Chrome didn't fix it. It works on Edge.

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

to upload a photo is easy, thanks for that. But you changed the size how the photo shows, a bit sad about that.

I haven't changed anything about image sizes since you joined? Can you elaborate?

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

First I wanna say that tapatalk works fine.

When I uploaded photos and clicked full size it was showing full size. Today I clicked full size it doesn't show full size.

I will later try again. 30 minutes
