It's like learning all over again

I continued my recovery today with a walk outside the village along a quiet lane and for once I timed it with a period of sunshine, sometimes bright and sometimes hazy. It was also an opportunity to get some more practice with my very underused camera.

I was lucky to find the horse in the background in just the right position.

Traditional Essex farmhouse - I'd love to live there.

Trees always make interesting and attractive subjects.

Field entrances in Essex are often blocked with farm machinery.

Time to try some B&W processing.

Like the trees, not sure the harrow adds to the trees tho'

Muddy B/W looks good, conveying the damp muddy field...

Hi John -

Anne and I are pleased you are mending fairly quickly.

Your recent return to photography has been most worthwhile as the results show.

I took a J P pic on Sunday of a naked tree and with your permission I could post it here.

Regards. Barr1e

Hi Amanda,

I think the day I feel I have nothing left to learn will be the day to give up photography - think how boring that would be!

Re: It's like learning all over again

Glad to see some images from you again and that the desire is back. That is great to see.

None of us are getting younger and I struggle to remember how to do things and make silly errors, but the determination and need to keep trying is vital.

Long may we all keep at it. You are a great example.

Re: It's like learning all over again

Hi there John!

Great to see you out and about with a camera. I love the tree pictures, especially the black and white conversion and the second to last, with the farm machinery giving an interesting lead into the photo.

Keep walking and taking photos!

Cheers,

Ralph.

That tree is a wonderful specimen and you caught it in nice light. I'd love to photograph it myself.

Looking good to me John. Especially like the B&W which is odd for me as usually I go for the colour shots. Good to see your Mojo is returning fast.
