Parlez-vous français?

Very low ceiling.

Taken on the metro on a day trip to Paris yesterday.

Re: Parlez-vous français?

That is quite interesting Andy. Does 'canard' in French mean both the bird and to lower one's head as 'duck' does in English or is it the work of a visiting English comedian? I don't know. A fun pic anyway.

As far as I'm aware it only means the bird, so its a play on words.

I may be wrong as my french is mainly limited to beer and menu related.

Re: Parlez-vous français?

I'm surprised it wasn't conard! - which means "jerk" or such like. Maybe it was someone who couldn't spell!

Seems I can't spell either. My wife (who's French) tells me that "conard" should be spelt "connard" (or connarde if it's a woman!).

Re: Parlez-vous français?

Remembering most of us were French many years ago - thinking of the Plantagenets.
