They're everywhere! The second shot especially is very dramatic.

I think these things can have quite a dramatic presence, as you have shown here, nice work Mark

Re: March of the Darlecs

I like these, especially No 2....I'm gonna find some on the way home from Norfolk tomorrow....saw some yesterday when the weather was good, a great alignment over rapeseed....but alas nowhere to park for miles.

Yes, they do look rather animated and positively threatening.

I think so too Brian, they feel almost sentient when you're standing near them.

Thanks Amanda. The rural setting sets off the towers well.

Fein a flat tyre or engine failure, lift the bonnet, lean over the guard pretending to work on the motor, oncoming traffic wont see the camera *camera Lateral thinking, Brian!

A good theme for a new sci fi novel, John - "Day of the Pylons", or maybe, "The Trouble with Pylons", eh ... ?

Re: March of the Darlecs

Brian, I think these are brilliant and I'm delighted to have you add them to my thread. It just goes to illustrate that even power pylons have an aesthetic in the right setting.

You have done a wonderful job of each and every camera angle and hard for me to pick a favourite, although #3 and #5 stand out as especially powerful.

Re: March of the Darlecs

Thanks Mark....I think the pylon in No 3 is twisted by the way...I think it would be quite challenge for any post processing to get it square....I was lucky with good quality of light and the bright primaries of the season....thanks again for the inspiration...I hope more members post some more
