Cracking shots! No1 and 3 for me and No4 for the angle and detail of the plane. No1 the dark sky and striking white smoke makes for a great image.

Thanks for your comments :-) The display was brilliant, and all the better because all I have to do is walk down the road from my house and sit in a field I remembered my earplugs this year too!

Usually you end up with shots from below, which leaves the wings in shadow. Your first image (no. 3 as well) shows what difference some bright sunlight on the tops of the wings can do.
Other than this it is almost impossible to photograph the Red Arrows' display any differently. You just take what you can. Nice image though.

As said No 1 is great.

My daughters going to Biggin Hill on Sunday and the Red Arrows will be there.Have to pack her off with the E420,The E3 is far to heavy for her.

Absolutely superb, numbers 1 and 3 for me.

I was thinking of going to the Cotswold air display last weekend as it's just up the road from here, wish I had now. Saw the Red Arrows the previous weekend at Cosford but the weather was attrocious.

I'd be proud of those shots. I would clone out the lens flare though on #4.
