The impact of air travel

Part of a series of photos taken during a week in the Sherwood Forest area north of Nottingham.
These were taken at Newstead Abbey, one time home to Lord Byron, on the first day of commercial air flights restarting after the prolonged Easter shutdown and, after several days of clear blue skies, showed the 'impact' of the engine contrails in creating cloud cover.
I'm told that over Nottingham is where several air corridors cross, hence the wide variety of contrail directions.

Regards
Chris

Re: The impact of air travel

Nice observation, but I do winder whether B&W does it any justice as the blue sky would probably have been really clear

Andy
