Dust off your old lenses! - or Kingfisher 2

Noticed someone shooting with the 4/3s Oly 70-300 lens when I was out shooting the Kingfisher so thought I've got one of them I'll dig it out and give it a try. So yesterday I did and got this.

Generally all my shots were spot, on only complaint I could make is that the lens hunts focus a lot and af is a lot slower than the 40-150 but for a lens that is probably worth less than 150 it's brilliant and felt a bit lighter than the 40-150 plus 1.4tc too. So do I really need that new long lens?...

Feel free to post your shots with old glass here it would be good to give that old glass a run out.

Your shot is super, Phill.

I'll hitch my 50-200 SWD to the M5 Mkii in the morning and see what I can do with it.

That should be brilliant Mark as it's a lot better quality than the lowly 70-300. I bet you get quality similar to the 40-150 just not quite so fast af.

That's a good one Phill. I have a copy of that lens somewhere but I haven't used it for years. My main complaint with it is the horrible whining noise it makes as it focuses. It is a bit embarrassing in a bird hide.

Glad you liked it. I've a few more I might process and put on Flickr as I've not put anything on there for ages.
